Use ChatRoom with ChatGPT

1. Start ChatRoom and confirm that the MCP endpoint is reachable:

https://your-domain.example/mcp

2. In ChatGPT, open Settings → Plugins → Developer mode and enable Developer mode.
3. Go to Settings → Plugins → Browse plugins, then click the + button in the upper-right corner to add a plugin.
4. Enter any app name you prefer.
5. Enter the ChatRoom MCP URL in the MCP server endpoint field.
6. Select OAuth for authentication.
7. After tool scanning completes, click Create.
8. On the ChatRoom authorization page, enter the ownerToken from ~/.config/chatroom/config.json, then click Authorize.
9. Check that the Actions section contains entries. If it is empty, click Refresh near the information section at the bottom of the plugin page you just added.
10. Start a new chat and select ChatRoom from ChatGPT's Tools menu, or mention @ChatRoom in the prompt.
